Sovecon raises Russia's '23 wheat harvest forecast by 1.5 mln tns
MOSCOW, Apr 18 (PRIME) -- Researcher Sovecon has raised the wheat harvest forecast by 1.5 million tonnes to 86.8 million tonnes in 2023 because of a further improvement of the weather, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
"The forecast was revised upwards thanks to further improvement of the weather,” it said.
The winter wheat harvest is assessed at 62.8 million tonnes, with the forecast changed from 60.9 million tonnes, the spring wheat forecast decreased to 24.1 million tonnes from 24.4 million tonnes.
